The Cute Factor
I just had one of those moments.
Joshua had just bid his grandparents farewell, after they'd read him his bedtime stories. He said goodnight to his mother and then I carried him into the bedroom and sat on the chair. The ritual now is that we sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star", with Josh generally wriggling a bit, and then I lay him into his cot, whereupon he'll either babble away to himself for a bit, or cry. These days he tends to do more of the former, which is a good thing.
So this evening we sat down in the chair and I said "Right, shall we sing then?"
All of a sudden he looked at me and said "Night night, Daddy!", and flung his arms around my neck. I very nearly cried.
